Free Wi-Fi Portugal is an useful collaborative App, dedicated to discover and identify locations with Free Wi-Fi Internet access in Portugal, covering only 100% free hotspots. This project started as a Facebook page on http://www.facebook.com/free.wifi.portugal.

Free Wi-Fi Portugal maps user location that can then search for Free Wi-Fi Places within a radius of 2Km, 10Km or 30Km. Search for locations can also be done by city / geographic region.

With over 800 Free Wi-Fi spots identified at the launching, in May 2011, all over Portugal, ranging from cafes, restaurants and terraces to museums, public buildings, gardens, squares, whole villages and even a taxi in the Azores, this application is in constant growing, through our users inputs: our fans and users are the spotters of new locations!

Use this App to find spots ion Portugal where to surf the Internet or view your email without paying or without spending your data plan... It is a very useful App for tourists, especially foreigners: data in roaming is very expensive. You may have Free Wi-Fi in your hotel but we show you where to find those hidden hotspots while see sighting the city.

Initially, this App do not cover hotels, lodges or inns except in cases where there is an open and Free Wi-Fi network in the lobby and / or public areas, not exclusive to guests.

The feature [+] "Report New Hotspot" allows the user to easily report us new hotspots directly from the App, by simply clicking a button, identify the location and click send.

We are always looking for new Hotspot’s with 100% Free Wi-Fi access to the Internet, in Portugal! If you spot a new place like this, not yet registered by the App, please let us know where it is, using the App, our Facebook page or by email to mail@freewifiportugal.com (information about new sites will be available in 48 hours).
