Voice Your View Project

Description

The VoiceYourView iPhone app, VYView, has been designed to allow you to comment on the public space in which you are in. Be it a comment about litter in the street, poor lighting or perhaps you wish to comment on the architecture of your surroundings, then please VoiceYourView and we will endeavour to notify the appropriate authority.

The app allows you to enter a text comment, and when submitted will transmit this along with your location, your device's unique ID and the optional information to our server, where it will be processed. If you are not using a location aware device (or you have turned off location services) you will be prompted to describe your location by road name, building name, nearby shop etc.

Your device's unique ID is saved along with your comment so for the purposes of the research project we can see how often individuals voice their views. Since VoiceYourView is a research project, we wish to collect some additional information about the users of the app. You can enter your gender, age and email address (to be kept up to date with the project)- however please note it is optional for you to enter this information.
