What's New in Version 3.1

1. Significantly improves mouse movement to provide smoother gameplay.

2. Adds new "Steady Aim" and "Steam Mode" settings to better customize mouse movement for certain games.

3. Fixes bad crasher that was occurring with a few generic gamepads.

4. "Mouse Acceleration" was removed from the configuration options. *With the improvements to the mouse we feel this is no longer a useful feature.

PS3 controller support perfect!

With the 3.1 update the ps3 controller works great on steam games like half life 2. The aiming used to be choppy and now its spot on. Plus, you can use the ps3 controller as your mouse now. BOTTOM LINE: THIS APP IS AWESOME!!!

It takes some tinkering.

I used this app to pair my PS3 controller with Steam. It took some tinkering -- mainly to find out what "Button #x" corresponded to on the PS3 controller. Thanks to user Redjag on MacNN's forums, I was able to associate the buttons on the controller with keyboard and mouse inputs. The map he provides on the forums is:

#1 = SELECT
#2 = L3
#3 = R3
#4 = START
#5 = DPAD UP
#6 = DPAD RIGHT
#7 = DPAD DOWN
#8 = DPAD LEFT
#9 = L2
#10 = R2
#11 = L1
#12 = R1
#13 = Triangle
#14 = Circle
#15 = X
#16 = Square
#17 = PS Button
#18-19 = nothing

For Steam, these are the settings I used, and I find them to be very familiar/easy to use with TF2, HL, Portal, etc.

Gampad buttons / Button Value / Button Actions [/ Sensitivity Calibration 1 / Sensitivity Calibration 2 / Tracking Speed] <-- only necessary for the joysticks

X-Axis / d a / Multiple Keys / 4 / 4 / 4 (i.e., the fourth notch on the slider bar from the left)
Y-Axis / s w / Multiple Keys / 4 / 4 / 4
Z-Axis / none / Mouse Right-Left / 4 / 4 / 11
Z-Rotation / none / Mouse Up-Down / 4 / 4 / 11
Button #5, 6, 7, and 8 - w, d, s, a respectively / single key
Button #11 / none / Mouse Left Click
Button #12 / none / Mouse Right Click
Button #14 / option / Single Key
Button #15 / Space / Single Key
Button #16 / e / single Key

Worth the money, I used it every day.

What the heck?

Why would they not just put the list of compatible devices in the info box on this page?! Apparently it isn't compatible with my Xbox wired controller (the Razer Onza), so I'm out 8 dollars, and I'm pretty sure it won't be refunded. I am EXTREMELY upset with this app!
