Gordon is the man
Gordon is awesome but this apps hard to use. Uk measurements. Poor instructions. Love the vids would love to see more but needs a little work. You can't get double cream in USA. Offer substitute. I uses whipping cream. Come on plz improve I want to see more recipe but these are not USA friendly I'm a Gordon fan still
What a great resource
The recipes are a bit of everything. The videos are wonderfully shot and it's great to be able to see what the recipe should look like as you go along.
One reviewer complained that the measurements were only in metric and not in imperial for those of us in the states. That's not accurate. It's a simple switch in the settings that will change the measurements.
The program is big, there's no denying that, but I would much rather not have to access the Internet to see the videos than to have a smaller file.
Best cooking app for me!
I love this app for several reasons:
1) it's chef Ramsay
2) there are videos on how to perform relatively simple, yet crucial to cooking, procedures!
3) textual aaaand visual preparation of the recipes!
4) great camera angles, hi def and great audio of chef Ramsay talking to YOU as you go about the videos!
5) NO Internet required to view videos!
6) No huge memory consumption! Decent for it's app <1GB as compared with "culinary fundamentals"
I like how this app can address expert chefs yet at the same time teach new a thing or two about cooking fundamentals (I.e. Cutting onions properly, safeguarding fingers, boiling pasta to al dente, and more videos!!) it's really great because the audio and visuals excel where other culinary videos fail.
My only complaint is that the camera is too 'wobbly' if the guy could steady his hi-def camera so that we get a minimally moving recording if Ramsay's work- it'd be more easy to follow. Other than that, great app and def. worth the 5 bucks... Seriosly! :))
