No privacy
This would be a great app, but it has one fatal flaw that makes it completely unusable: there are absolutely zero privacy controls. Anyone can go on the Gowalla website and see your profile and all of your movements without even logging in (much less being your friend).
Great fun and gets you out of the house
Wonderful application! Gets us geeks and nerds away from the computer to get out and visit spots and see places. I find myself wanting to go out more and record all my spots.
This is one of those apps where you want to tell people - "Just get it!"
Addicted- not sure why
When looking at it, you would wonder why anyone would want Gowalla. Once getting this app I suddenly fell in love. It's fun going to places, picking up new items, creating new places, and trying to become a top visitor at your favorite spots. I'm addicted!
