iControlAV
iControlAV is the first app. of its kind from Pioneer Home Electronics that allows you to literally control your new Pioneer AV Receiver and BD Player with your iPhone or iPod Touch! Friends and family will be truly amazed as you take full control of your home theater sound in a whole new way! 4 screen modes allow you complete control of your Pioneer receivers sound tuning and switching capabilities.
“Control” mode provides the basic functions of the AV Receiver such as Power on/off, volume up and down, input select, and surround sound modes .Basic functions such as Play, Stop, Forward, and Reverse are supported for the BD Player.
Other functions include Pioneer's “Precision” mode for sound enhancement screens that also includes demo video clips to explain the benefits of these unique sound features. “Balance” and “Emphasis” modes are virtual motion adaptive functions that allow you to change the "sweet-spot" of your home theater, independently adjust the volume of your center speaker or subwoofer just by tilting your iPhone or iPod Touch!

Network Error - B47110
Looks like a cool app, just wish I could try it. Gives me an error every time I try to connect.
I have the VSX-1020K. It's plugged into a switch on my network. My iPhone is connected to the same network via WiFi. When I open the app it shows my receiver listed there (so it finds it), but when I try to connect to it...FAIL.

I spent a few months researching new receivers before deciding on the Pioneer Elite SC-35. They made a big deal on their website about this app and mentioned it specifically in the descriptions of their Elite model receivers. I thought it sounded like a nice perk only to find out after installing it that it won't work with those receivers! Why even mention this
app in regard to units you can't use it with?!? It's a nice concept based on what I can tell from the demo mode but useless in its current form.
Looks good but software still half baked
I own a 1020 receiver w/ the optional bluetooth adapter. I cannot use this app. This app I assume requires a wired connection to your router only, which i do not want to do. Based on reviews it sounds like the wired solution offers limited functionality still. Very lame and misleading.
Pioneer why not make the app work via bluetooth and give people a real reason to buy this accessory. That way users can stream audio via ipod AND control the functions of the receiver - no need for a remote! A sure way to sell more AV receivers and make mucho yen!
