Movie Trivia Schmoedown 12+

Being a huge fan of the schmoedown I was so hyped for this app. And it didn’t disappoint. Having worked in an app startup I see how much heart it takes to build a platform like this. This is truly a success with all the questions. I was worried that they would dumb down the questions and make it too easy for players yet it’s actually the opposite. I am struggling with these questions but with all the videos and the effects just like the wheel makes it so immersive and fun. And playing against others is so cool and see how other regular people are actually really great at trivia. This app is so fun and it makes me want to learn and research the questions I missed and expand my trivia knowledge. The one con I have is I’ve had a couple repeat questions but not many. Also finding an opponent in online play is sometimes hard but that may because of my connection. Overall I would highly recommend this app for MTS fans and movie fans in general to test their knowledge!

There’s nothing more frustrating than paying money for something that rarely works... The app froze on me and when I had to exit out of it, the game had given me a loss for something that wasn’t my fault (also getting losses for the other opponent quitting is infuriating)! Trying to get matched with an opponent is also frustrating and takes forever - the status goes from “finding an opponent” to “opponent found” and back to “finding an opponent” multiple times before not trying to do anything at all!
Trying to get the wording right on some of the questions is also a little ridiculous, when asked for the decade in a question I put 1990 and because I didn’t put “1990s” I got it wrong. Another one had the answer of Dr. Strangelove and because I didn’t type out the entire title (which is impossible in the time allotted) I got the question wrong. I also haven’t been playing got very long and I get multiple repeat questions during every match.
The app is beautifully designed, it’s a crying shame that it just doesn’t work. I’m super disappointed because I’m a huge fan of the show and have been waiting for a good movie trivia app for a long time now.... hopefully the kinks get worked out, but for now all $4 is going to buy you is utter frustration.

Watch the schmodown all the time. The app is good needs a little work I know it just came out and will take time to be great app but here some suggestions. opponents quit all the time I think if they do it should count as a win to you also. Pick to play random players and it keeps give me the same one after they quit and they have the same record if you quit or lose connection doesn’t it count as a lost. A music and voice volume setting would but great. And let players submit questions about movies that y’all can approve of so people don’t just memorize the questions y’all have already keep getting the same ones
