You will spend more time entering info than driving

Too many required fields. Makes bad assumptions as to what you are going to enter.
This may be OK for anial accountant, but for a sales rep it will drive you nuts!

Cumbersome and buggy

I have been using Trip Cubby for over 2 years and liked it at first, but have 3 major complaints.

1. At one point I inadvertently entered a very high, inaccurate mileage amount (511,000). From then on, the pre-populated start mileage for new trips is always set to 511,000. This despite the app supposedly being coded to set the new trip start mileage to the end mileage of the previous trip. I reported this bug to the company, but never got a response.

2. The app frequently crashes on startup. The header bar loads, but the data entries do not and then the app shuts down. I suspect this could be related to the amount of data records I have (over 800 trips).

3. Poorly designed UI. On the Odometer page, there are 3 fields: odometer start, odometer end and total distance. When highlighted, each of these fields has an x icon to the right. Click this icon and the contents of the field are deleted. However, the active field then becomes 'odometer start'. If i click the delete x in 'total distance', I expect the 'total distance' field to remain the active field. Not so.

I'm tired of these bugs and am abandoning the app in favor of Mile Tracker.

Okay . . . BUT!

I have used this for a long time.

I bought it initially because I also use Gas Cubby.

Pros:

• I really like the reports.
• It works well enough.

Cons:

• I really don't like how many buttons you have to push to enter data. Even with Frequent Trips!
• I really don't like that after you enter a trip. When you come back to the app to finalize the trip it doesn't have any option to go back to that transaction and make it easier on you. Instead you get this ugly screen that is pictured in the screen shots above. (Fifth phone from the left.)
• It does not have GPS tracking for trip tracking. I would think this would be easy enough to add for as long as this app has been around.
• I think the developer is "coasting." There have been no major updates or features added for awhile now.

I have already installed the major competitor which has GPS trip tracking. I think it will work better for my needs until some UI flaws get rectified and usability is caught up to speed.
