Description
Asperger's Disorder (AspD) is a mild autistic spectrum disorder. Autistic spectrum disorders are also called 'pervasive developmental disorders' (PDD). AspD is diagnosed at a clinical setting by mental health professionals, based on established diagnostic criteria, through a face-to-face evaluation. The following "test" is a group of questions inquiring about AspD symptoms. The result is given as "YES", "MAYBE" or "NO" depending on whether there are ENOUGH, SOME or NO positive clinical symptoms, respectively.

This simple application will give you an opportunity to accurately screen your child, adolescent and adult patients for Asperger's Disorder (AspD). You can email the positive symptoms to yourself to print and put into the patient's chart and/or to copy and paste the positive symptoms into your letter when referring your patient to a mental health professional.

Short on Content, Long on Cost
This app is vastly over-priced for its content. The appropriate cost should be FREE. For you $4.99, you get 12 questions which can be answered -- if you are slow -- in two minutes. After that, you are told how likely it is that you have Asperger's Syndrome or not.
To be fair, in my case, it was correct. I am an adult recently diagnosed with A.S.. The test confirmed that I did. It also correctly diagnosed my wife, who does not have A.S..
Besides the short test itself, you are given three links to websites with further information on A.S. and autism. Along with a brief description of A.S. at the opening of the app, that is ALL you get for your $4.99.
Instead of this app, I suggest you check out AQ Test, which is a 50-question test for autism spectrum disorders. It is a more carefully designed test, and the app gives you much more info and sources on ASD's. It, too, diagnosed my wife and I correctly.
AND, its cost is ZERO -- FREE!
