iCaduceus: The Clinician's Alternative gives you quick and accurate assess to natural remedies. iCaduceus Diagnostic is the first application to pair Western medical diagnosis with non-pharmacological treatments. With over 400 conditions, you can easily find information about the diagnosis and then learn about evidence-based and clinically-based botanical, supplement, homeopathic, nutritional and other non-invasive treatment options. Since there is relatively little research on alternative remedies in comparison to pharmaceutical remedies, we include clinical research.
iCaduceus' information has been distilled by holistic physicians for physicians. This application is designed for clinician's licensed to diagnosis and treat disease. It should not replace consultation with a trained practitioner. With it, clinician's can prescribe non pharmacological remedies as a first line to treat common problems.

Woefully inadequate for professional use
As an integrative physician, I was looking forward to using this app. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. The information is basic, sloppy, and often out of date. To use the example of fibroymyalgia, to offer no differential diagnosis for a condition where ruling out other diseases is criical speaks to a significant oversight. Likewise, while an elimination/challenge may be useful, an anti-inflammatory diet suggests that fibromyalgia is an inflammatory condition, which is far from established. Likewise, to suggest that an Xray is a physical exam procedure for bursitis is both incorrect (it is a diagnostic imaging procedure) and unhelpful (an Xray cannot image an inflammed bursa). Finally, there is no way I have seen that the information in this app can be annotated, which would make it much more useful. The digital treatment notebook I developed on my laptop back in medical school, which I keep updating, is significantly more helpful.
This product may be useful for first year medical students to suggest some basic natural medicine interventions, but it cannot be recommended for other healh professionals. I find a combination of the Natural Standard app and eMedicine a much more useful combination. I keep hoping that this app will improve over time, but sadly this has not happened.
