Customer Reviews
Just OK, not worth buying
This does come in handy as it has a full listing of RFCs, and you can search by keyword, however, due to the lack of features, it's not worth spending any money on at this time:
- Cannot search by RFC number. No, seriously. This also means that RFC numbers are not keywords so you can't see what RFCs refer to other RFCs.
- doesn't keep my place if I have to flip between RFCs.
- no hyperlinks between RFCs, even ones you've downloaded.
These were basic features that I would expect, and have found lacking in 5 minutes of using the app. Really, the only thing this affords me aside from having to load the PDFs into iBooks is that I can browse though the list of 1000s of RFCs and find ones that I need.
Overall, I'd steer clear of this until at least some of these features are added.
Archive is not updated frequently enough
The main reason I would want this app is to review a new RFC when it is published. Sadly, the archive is not pulled from the RFC Editor site and comes from some intermediate source that is frequently months behind. The authors should either have the app pull directly from the source or document their refresh cycles in the app.
