TRACK
Walkmeter continually records your time, location, distance, elevation, and speed - years of workouts only take up the space of a few songs. Stop and start recording on-screen, with your earphone remote, or with automatic stop detection. Also track heart rate, bike speed, and bike cadence using the Wahoo Fitness ANT+ system (purchased separately).

VISUALIZE
See your results on maps, graphs, and a calendar, and organized by routes and activities. Summarize your statistics by day, week, month, year, and overall. Analyze your split, interval, and zone performance.

HEAR
Monitor your progress with more than 70 configurable announcements including distance, time, speed, and elevation. Announcements may be heard automatically at time or distance intervals, or on-demand with your earphone remote. High quality voices may be downloaded for hearing replies from Twitter, Facebook, and dailymile.

RACE
Compete against your previous workouts along a route, or import and compete against other people's workouts. See your virtual competition on a map and in graphs. Hear announcements of how far you are ahead of or behind your competition.

Keep on track with extremely configurable interval training, zones, and targets. Set up repeating intervals, pyramid intervals, or tempo workouts. Hear announcements that keep you in the zone. Analyze your split, interval, and zone performance.

SHARE
Use email, Facebook, Twitter, and dailymile to share Google Maps of your workouts, automatically updated every few minutes. Have emails automatically sent to keep family and friends notified of your location and progress. During your workout, hear replies from family, coaches, and friends spoken using text-to-speech technology.

IMPORT/EXPORT (Requires iOS 4.0 or later)
Import a route or virtual competitor by simply clicking on a GPX or KML link or file in Mail or Safari. Export complete summaries of your workouts, or detailed CSV, GPX, or KML files for use in maps, graphs, or social fitness sites.

Fantastic App

This is about the best App on my iPhone. I use it every day when walking my Labrador. It really motivates me to go further and faster. As I am type 2 diabetic as well as suffering from elevated cholesterol and BP, I love that this App keeps me interested in exercise.

I use it everyday! Best app I own.

I hike and walk everyday and it is great. Even works with daily mile which is awesome!

I never write reviews but please read!!

Last fall my husband was using this app as he was on a bike ride. He got hit by a car (which left the scene) and laid how long unconscious. When he finally came to he had no idea why he was covered in blood. He called me to get him because he had no idea where he even was.

Because of the ability to track the person on the map live I saw exactly where he was and where he got hit by a car too.

Lesson for us.we always always always turn on the app when we ride or run. It takes just a few extra seconds to turn it on.

I could write about all the cool features like how it works awesome with wahoo products (and it does..both inside use and outside), or about all the data you can collect, how you can export your routes and put them on other devices, etc. but others already did.

Remember , ALWAYS wear a helmet! It saved his life! And turn on your walk meter.
