Commander Compass 3.3.6--get Spyglass instead!
Pretty app, and seems to be stable on a 4S, but I'm giving it only 3 stars for the cheezy rip-off marketing: Better to get Spyglass by the same developer, unless you're stuck as a fighter pilot wanabee. Although CC's screen shots look like your looking through the camera, You're Not (it's pretend night vision green). Spyglass is exactly the same, except more features and more practical: it works like a theodolite, a sighting compass with elevation and GPS coordinates included, and you can take a picture of it. (Wanted features of Spyglass, bought Commander Compass by mistake, then bought Spyglass, which is essentially a major upgrade to CC, for the same price. CC should be the 99 cent lite version.) There's also Theodolite, similar but different, by another developer.

This app is absolutely fantasfabulous!!! I just drove from Phoenix/Globe area, a 6-7 hour drive, starting off at 9.30 pm and got to Albuquerque at about 4 am, with stops. I had this app on, next to me and it was totally rad, looking at the range finder and looking at how it showed to road and tne details. Just fantastic!! I keep using this app all the time....it's also very entertaining, I love looking at the compass as we drive. And I love the color of it. Deborah Anne
