With Action Scanner on your iPhone or iPod Touch, now you are able to scan through up to 4 feeds at a time, anywhere in the country, so you never miss a minute of information. Action Scanner will stop when there is a transmission on a feed just like an actual scanner. Be it next door, or on the other side of the country; with this app you’ll always be in on the action wherever that happens to be. Whether it’s a call from the police, fire, EMS or other feeds, you’ll always know what’s going on in or out of your state.
That’s not all that makes Action Scanner so extraordinary, either. We now offer over 1,700 stations for your scanning enjoyment; and the list is still growing! We also have user configurable bank names, a scan indicator to show which station is being scanned or played; and now you can also add up to 20 of your own stream URL’s (mp3 format only). Add police, fire, medical, weather stations, even streaming radio. By adding multiple music stations to a bank, you can use the “SKIP” button to make Action Scanner work like a car radio. There is an independent volume and squelch control for each station as well as the last contact date and time tracked.

This app is great! Had 911 scanner and deleted it when i bought this one. Works great this one actually scans.I also checked it with my 500. Dollar scanner and it works good app. I had a stream that stopped working wrote the developer and within hours the stream was fixed. Feel confident purchasing this scanner. It is top quality!
truly the best simulation of a "real" scanner
I have several of the other scanner apps (3 others), and the others do a good job, but for true replication of using a scanner, this one really does what the others thus far do not. I did not need another scanner app, but when I saw that it had this functionality, that made the difference. The others only allow one feed at a time to be on, whereas Action Scanner literally cycles through up to four feeds simultaneously in a system they call a "bank". This is great! They have all the feeds for my local area, so I just choose the "bank" for my area, and it will pick up all those feeds. I have missed calls before because I didn't have the right feed chosen at the right time, but this app allows the four feeds to be simultaneously available and literally "scans" and stops on whichever one is active. It also allows one feed to play in the background too. You can name your banks too, so my area is named and I can go right to it. This one really is the best scanner app I have come across for actual scanning of emergency services activities.

This app works on Edge, 3G, and WiFi. You get 4 banks with up to 4 channels in each bank. You can scan up to 4 channels in each bank at a time. You can only scan 1 bank at a time though. You can custom name each bank but not each channel. Highly recommended over other scanner apps I have bought and used.
