TeachMe: Kindergarten is an educational iPhone app which teaches four different age appropriate subjects to Kindergarten aged children: sight words, addition, subtraction and spelling. Parents can select which subjects they want, set different difficulty levels, and even choose specific questions. Parents can review performance history for each subject to check how their child is doing.
TeachMe: Kindergarten keeps children engaged with a rather unique reward system where children earn a coin for every three correct answers. Coins can then be used to purchase stickers to place in fun sticker scenes or to purchase items for the new virtual aquarium. Sticker scenes can be exported as wallpaper or emailed to family and friends.
The simple and intuitive user interface is designed to be child friendly, which allows children to play without help from an adult. An animated teacher (Mimi Mouse) gives verbal instructions and feedback to the child which makes learning fun.

Great app!
I have only had this app for a few hours and I can all ready see the potential with my students. I teach special education k-3 so this is a great app for my struggling 2nd graders and my own 5 year old.
I do have a few suggestions. I would like to see them make more levels...2nd and 3rd grades at least. Secondly, I think it needs to be renamed by level not grades. My students will have a hard time playing kindergarten when they are in 2nd grade. If the name were teach me 1, teach me 2, etc. I wouldn't have to exaggerate the truth about their ability level. My last suggestion is to have rooms in the school house (1st grade) where you can focus on just sight words or math, etc.
I know this sounds like I don't like the app. I really see it benefiting my students. Just had a few suggestions.
GREAT APP
Absolutely the best educational app for young children. I have the TeachMe: 1st Grade and Sight Words and I've yet to find any app that comes close to these. My kids actually enjoy "playing" them. I would highly recommend these to anyone with small children. I used these apps to help my four year old to read, write, spell, and even do math. I've bought programs for my computer but having access to these apps while we're on the go is awesome. AND, two of these apps are only 0.99 cents.
Very engaging app!
My 4 year old loves this app and can spend a good amount of time "playing" it. We've tried other educational apps, but this one just seems to hit the right balance of play, learning and rewards to make it very engaging. Plus she doesn't see it as "work". Highly, highly recommend.
