This Week in Virology
This Week in Virology (TWiV) is a podcast about viruses hosted by Vincent Racaniello and Dick Despommier, two science Professors at Columbia University Medical Center. -Offline (off Wi-Fi) mode
There is now the option to download starred episodes and play them when you are offline or on slow mobile networks. Getting on a plane? download a few episodes to enjoy right from your favorite show's app.

Microbe World App
This is a great app that allows you to keep up with the latest microbiology news, with interviews of interesting scientists, and interesting microbiology stories. Even better, you can do it from your iPhone while waiting in a long line or sitting in a waiting room or sitting outside enjoying your lunch. It doesn't get much better than this!
Even has a feature where you can ask the experts...
One of the cooler features of this is app is that it allows you to leave a verbal comment, via the iPhone, enabling you to comment on a story or even ask the podcast moderator a question. All of the videos and podcasts are compelling. They suprise the user with much more than their titles might suggest. Sure, you can subscribe to each of the feeds separately, but why bother, when as they say... there is an app for that. This is it.
