Dragon Dictation is an easy-to-use voice recognition application powered by Dragon® NaturallySpeaking® that allows you to easily speak and instantly see your text or email messages. In fact, it’s up to five (5) times faster than typing on the keyboard.
With Dragon Dictation you can also dictate status updates directly to your Social Networking applications (Facebook and Twitter) or send notes and reminders to yourself….all using your voice. Used to love it, now I hate it
I used to brag about Dragon Dictation and its great functionality. Sadly, with every release, it seems to get worse. With today's release (01/30/2012) it is sluggish, unresponsive, and "sticky".
A few years ago, I could dictate a proper noun and use the appropriate capitalization, but no longer. It gives no response when you say, for example, "CAP d r a g o n". The response used to be "Dragon"; now it's non-responsive.
Multiple requests to the developer have received replies saying that they're working on it. Sadly, they told me that over a year ago.
Please fix this great app so I can love it again!
It's crap
No response. Nothing. I hit tap and dictate and I get a variety of responses, but nothing I said gets written down. IT WOULD BE NICE IF THEY PROVIDED CONTACT INFO FIR TROUBLESHOOTING, TOO! if it works this well, I'm surprised they are still in business.
Won't clear text from the previous translation
Even if I close the app in the multi task bar, the next time I open it, there is the last message that was translated. This forces me to manually erase the previous text, then record my message. This was never a problem on the older revs...
