proof of concept...???
This lite version appears to only be the tutorial of the game. As such it is pretty good, it has decent controls for what amounts to a traditional PC RTS on the iPhone. Or at least it seems that way because as I said, it's only the tutorial, you build your village, mine some gold, build a standard and it's over.
The graphics are good, the controls work very well, it's just hard to get a feel for what the game will be like based off of such a basic demo for what seems like a complex game.
This would be a four or five star rating if the demo included at least one level with some combat or at least a more involved level so you could get a feel for how the full game will be.
Good games, strict demos = /
I've noticed you guys (gameloft) release the bare minimum of your content in demos and although I was glad to find a gathering strategy i'm left with concerns on what the full game is about. Is it comprised of short objectives and being torn from your town you've grown attached to, or just placing those "standards" after two minutes of gameplay. How much will improve/change if I purchase the game.
Just read on the full games reviews that there is no free-play which is what i was looking foward to.
Too short
Free version should let us experience more of the game. Hard to know if it's any good with just the intro tutorial.
