Nice action
This is a fun little RTS in the space mining genre, similar to browser flash games such as "The Space Game".
There is one resource (crystals) which must be mined from randomly scattered asteroids, and it is used to pay for building/upgrading all structures. The catch is that every structure you build must be connected back to your station via a network of conduits. Your station has a few fixed turrets for defense, but a larger variety of weaponry is available by building various structures.
Enemies attack with increasingly larger numbers and ships, and the goal of most missions is to survive for a certain length of time.
The graphics are excellent, and the game is well executed, though progressing through the campaign requires some grinding to be able to afford some necessary upgrades.
My biggest complaint is that the music volume slider does not mute the music even when it's all the way to the minimum position, forcing me to use the phone mute switch when playing in a public place. Also, the enemy ship AI is extremely basic: they blindly go for the nearest piece of your network and keep attacking it until it or they are destroyed. This allows us to use a simple decoy defense by building cheap node connectors as decoys while the weapons wear down the ships.
Great...
It's one of the few games I played from beginning to end (the campaign). It's feels a bit "slow" when you have to stop the campaign (and work in skirmish modes-survival, mining, protect) to build up money to buy bigger better equipment.
I wouldn't mind be able to play through the campaign with more continuity.
I also used "odd" tactics in some of the campaigns to save bigger defense equipment like building power links because it's just to darn expensive to build say a turret and fully upgrade it to have it blown apart so quickly. A power link is a much much cheaper "decoy" while the turrets do their job! :) Maybe you need a ghost decoy unit or something...
Not that's it unbalanced but some tweaks could be done to better the game. Overall it's most definitely an A+ game for me and would LOVE to see more campaigns...PLEASE! :)
Aliens never win
Great but multiplayer would be better if you could play with people in other locations.
