Ascale PRO is an application that allows you to weigh objects between 1 and 20 grams with 4 units of measurement: Gram, Oz, Grain, and Carat.
How does it work?
The principle is simple. Your iPhone / iPod touch can act as a balance thanks to its accelerometer.
Follow the application schema:
- Put your index finger on a flat surface.
- Place your iPhone in balance on your finger as on the example.
- When the iPhone is balanced, press the set button to calibrate the balance.
- Carefully place the object to be weighed (ring, coin, precious stone, grass, stamp, etc...) in the blue circle.
- With the weight of the object, the iPhone will tilt like any mechanical balance. The detected motion is used to determine the weight of the object with an accuracy of 10%!
Note: This application is very precise if and only if you take the time to use it properly. Like any precision tool, you must learn how to manipulate it to extract the maximum efficiency.

Complete trash
Title says it all. When in the hell does this have a good rating? Can't balance enough to get a constant zero so it's worthless. My pennies read 2-9 grams and they should be 2.5. 10% is a joke.
