Emergency Reference
Pedi Safe is so fast! In an emergency this app has been a fantastic reference to have on my iPhone! It has everything you need from intubation to cardiovascular resuscitation and PALS.
Missing What I Use The Most
I work as a CRNA in a community hospital. We do pediatric tonsillectomies once a week, and I get periodic emergency peds cases, mostly closed fracture reductions, lacerations, foreign bodies in ears and other cases where sedation is preferred over general anesthesia. On ENT days I set up my room based on an estimated weight for a given age. I currently use a program I made myself, but I was hoping I could do that with this app. It won't make weight estimates, though. I would also like it to calculate antiemetic doses for my tonsil patients, but it doesn't. For sedation cases I primarily use IM ketamine, which also is not included.
I still like having this reference in my pocket, but it isn't as useful as I'd like.
My fix for crashes
The previous update and the current update (2.0) crash at start up. I deleted the app and then re-downloaded the app from my iPhone. It now opens without crashing.
I thought on the previous update chest tube sizes were supposed to be added. It appears to be MIA. PLEASE ADD CHEST TUBE SIZES.
