Provide a way to save articles!
Still no way to save articles on iPad app. Inability to read old issues or save articles makes it so if you don't read entire paper in one sitting you may lose access to numerous articles. Please consider fixing.
Absolutely terrible
I have had a nightmarish experience with this app. This should not be difficult: subscribe to the app, then be able to read the NYT. Instead, I have spent a week corresponding with five different members of their uniquely unhelpful customer service team, each of whom has sent me the same idiotic message about why, despite my paying for a subscription and repeatedly forwarding the iTunes receipt, the app doesn't recognize me as a subscriber. It has been an exhausting bore, and frankly, the NYT isn't worth it. I have given up on this terrible, infuriating app.
FAIL!
Refresh only updates the current session. It should update all sections. Auto-update either works randomly or just doesn't work at all. I have to turn my pad completely off to get it to update all sections. Also, "manually update" on the settings likewise fails since when you do go to update manually, it's only one section at a time. Such a utterly basic item -FAIL!
The notice that you've read an article by turn the headline grey from solid black only works randomly -FAIL!
There's no way to star favorites for later reading. Better yet resume the concept of a daily paper and allow a weeks worth of news to always exist, like the pc based times reader.
There's no ability to search by author, or anything else for that matter - FAIL!
This app is ultra beta beginner programmer trash for costing $20 a month. Really weak effort. NYT is the paper of record, and this app only disgraces the paper's good name.
