Description
The OHT Calc app is a clinical tool for ophthalmologists, optometrists and patients to determine an individual’s risk of developing glaucoma. The app is based on the risk model developed by the Ocular Hypertension Treatment Study (OHTS) and the European Glaucoma Prevention Study (EGPS), two large clinical trials.
By entering the five components of the OHTS/EGPS risk model – Age, eye pressure, corneal thickness, cup/disc ratio and visual field parameters – OHT Calc determines a patient’s five year risk of developing glaucoma.
Once the risk calculation is completed, the user can e-mail the results to themselves or to their patient.
