There is a Lite version for 99 cents, all the content, updates for the academic year (12 months June to June), but no full-text search, custom user notes linked to topics, or upgrade path.

Useful but also a delight to read
I already had the infectious disease information that came with a paid version of Epocrates and the information I can get from my very expensive UpToDate subscription but I picked up this one not only for the useful and well condensed information but for the interesting wit and pearls this author provides.
