NAVIGON MyMaps:

Version 2.0 included a new map update feature called FreshMaps. FreshMaps is a premium service that NAVIGON adapted from their successful line of PNDs (personal navigation devices) in Europe, whereby for a fee, users can get the latest maps every three months for a period of at least two years. The introduction of this service into the app was planned prior to Garmin’s acquisition of NAVIGON.
Prior to the launch of FreshMaps, free map updates were provided on an irregular basis. In response to customer feedback, we will continue to deliver occasional free map updates in addition to the optional FreshMaps service, which provides more regular and frequent (quarterly) map updates. Note that FreshMaps also upgrades regional versions, such as MyRegion or USA, to the full North American map.

Simply doesn't work
I just downloaded Navigon recently, seriously every time I have used it it has taken me to the wrong place or made me take detours that were not needed. Once I reach the wrong destination and realize I am not where I am supposed to be I input the same data (usually cut and paste the address) into the maps app that came on my iPhone for free and it takes me to where I wanted to go. I bought this for the voice directions and the google integration thinking I would get the same results as using the standard maps app or a google map...yeah not so much. 30 bucks down the drain.

I finally decided to give up on the dash mount TomTom and get a GPS app for my iPad and iPhone. Reading the negative reviews for so many of the navigation apps made me worried about spending the money, but I finally decided to give Navigon a try and bought the East Coast version. Running iOS 5.1 on both the New iPad and iPhone 4 and the 2.0.2 version of Navigon. It just works great and I can't figure out why so many people give it bum ratings. It reads my addresses from Contacts flawlessly, finds my route, re-routes quickly if I change course, allows me to route multiple destinations (and insert destinations to my existing route), looks great with the 3D Panorama add-on, interacts well with any background audio (lowers the volume and gives directions over the track), and has just enough user options to suit individual tastes without making the app complicated. Not sure what's up with the other reviews, but I found nothing wrong with the app. Works great!
Best gps app i used
Does not use data. Its accurate. Buy this app. U wont be disappointed. Ignore that negitive reviews. Maybe they dont know how to use it :)
