SpinThought RecordBoard is a customizable sound board for the iPhone! Instead of only assigning pre-canned sounds to your buttons, RecordBoard lets you create your own sounds and assign them to any of it's 12 animated buttons on the sound board. Designed with a simple interface, you can quickly create your own sounds OR select from over 100 provided sounds! Great for parties, school testing, board games, or any time you want to record sounds for quick playback with a press. A 12 character label lets you assign a name for each button's sound, so you can design a board for whatever purpose you like!

Needs a little fine tuning, but very nice overall
Overall I am very pleased with this application; this was the only "Button" app I could find that would allow you to assign sounds and songs from your ipod library as opposed to being limited to a small handful of built in sounds. This feature alone sets this app much farther ahead of the rest.
With a few improvements, Recordboard would be much more effective, so to speak. Notable cons are the somewhat negligible latency between touching any button and sample playback, as well as the inability to play multiple samples simultaneously. Another nuisance is that if you wish to play a second sample immediately following a first, you are required to stop the first sample with a button tap before playing the second, and the app doesn't always respond to your first button tap. If you wish to load your own sounds and songs from your ipod library, it can quickly become a cumbersome process as you are only able to load one selection at a time; many of us have fx libraries ranging from hundreds to thousands of samples...
Beyond all that however, Recordboard is definitely dependable enough for professional use as long as you are able to familiarize yourself with it enough first, and it is surely a steal for 99¢ when compared to an actual button board. I will be eagerly awaiting an updated version of this one.
