Customer Reviews

Great, but could be Greater.

Great app for endless reasons but, I'm often frustrated at the inability to perform various tasks that if implemented would make this app even greater!

Please consider the following much needed features for the next update:
• Highlighting Tool (for both books and PDFs)
• Bookend Organizers (to further organize books and PDFs into categories)
• Social Networking Integration (to select quotes/short passages from books and PDFs and post them directly to places such as Facebook and Twitter)
• Note Taking Tool (to select a passage from a book or PDF, type notes/thoughts/reflections on that passage, and save it.)

Thank you!

College books

The app would be great if I could buy any of my college textbooks. You should really add the capability to do that. Then I wouldn't have to carry all these college books around campus and I would probably buy an iPad.

Updated for the newer version

**Updated**
I noticed a new update for iBooks and figured grab the new version. As soon as I restart the app post update, I see all my PDF books for about 3 seconds and then nothing. So I switched over to the Books section to only find one of my books.

Awesome. You managed to include zero new features for previous functionality AND deleted all my books/pdf's off my device. If you're actually trying to drive sales of GoodReader you just did one hell of a job!

Mediocre app that obviously isn't going to improve on the feedback that's been given.

**Previous review**
I've been using iBooks since I got my iPad and installed it on my iPhone 4S as soon as I got one. All in all, the app works well as a book reader. However if you're going to be using it for something with a lot of images (such as a Pathfinder RPG PDF) it is super slow.

The other big issue I have that still hasn't been addressed is sorting books in the "shelf" view. If I'm in list view, I can easily sort by author, title or even genre if I'd like. In shelf view, I'm stuck with either the order I load them on my device or I spend time sorting them manually.
