CHAOS RINGS takes full advantage of the iPhone and iPod touch’s capabilities. Using a classic game system that any RPG fan will enjoy, it presents an epic tale consisting of four different scenarios, all brought to you with gorgeous sound and unbelievably smooth 3D graphics.
The story revolves around a tournament where combatants fight for their lives: the Ark Arena. Upon choosing a pair of characters, one male and one female, you will then have to fight against the other pairs. Each pair has their own story, and the truth behind the Ark Arena will not be revealed until each story is completed.

Chaos Rings is the only title I will be playing for quite some time, outside of my normal review requirements.

The turn-based fighting is gratifying and never got old, and the story and character development remains immersive even in short play sessions.
- Touch Arcade
The iPhone finally has its own triple-A Square Enix RPG that actually reaches the heights of a Final Fantasy or Chrono Trigger.
- Slide to Play
The story, and characters found within Chaos Rings are the most interesting and intriguing I have come across for the iPhone, and perhaps I have to go back to Final Fantasy VII to find it’s equal.

Thank You for the Japanese Voice Track
Please, ignore the raging children who were just "forced" to click that update button despite you telling them exactly what they were getting and how it would effect the size of the app. After having sent snail-mail 10 years ago asking for the Japanese language tracks to start being included in your games, I could not be more happy to finally get one. There are plenty of people who find the Japanese language tracks to be considerably better than their English counterparts, and have had to import games thus far in order to heard them. As a suggestion to make the dissenters happy, have an option to disable the voices for those who can't stand a foreign language, but I am begging you once again to continue including them for future releases.
Good game, but huge size is too much
Our iOS devices have a limited amount if space on them, and to have an extra half GB taken up out of no where for a feature I will never use is a bad value proposition. I typically play on mute, so even if this were an English voice update, it would not be of value to me.
The game itself is good, but not amazing. I'd give it 3 stars before this update.
Love original Japanese voices
It adds to the feel of the game. But to calm the complainers, it might be better to offer the voices pack as a free in-app purchase.

Dungeon Hunter raised the bar. Ravensword raised the bar even higher. And Chaos Rings shoots the bar to the clouds! This game is epic! It is a true RPG, complete with an engaging and layered story, hours of classic turn-based gameplay, stunning graphics, and a soundtrack worthy of its own release. If you are an RPG fan, do yourself a favor and buy this game! It's worth every penny, and runs smoothly even on 2nd generation iPods.
