Description
What’s the first step to sustainable weight loss? Discovering how much you’re really putting into your mouth. After just one week of using the 80Bites App – a sleek, simple, “pedometer for your mouth” – you’ll learn if you are overeating.
The app is based on research showing that 80 bites each day is all the human stomach really needs to be satisfied. Too many bites = a stretched stomach, which in turn leads to increased hunger.
Created by Registered Dietician Meredith Luce and Pilates Expert Joan Breibart, the 80Bites App goes hand in hand with the 80Bites Diet – a 12-week nutrition program developed to reverse the hunger cycle for good (www.80BitesDiet.com). If you’re over 80 bites a day, the 80Bites Diet will help you get your portions back on track. If you’re around 80 bites but still struggling with extra weight, we’ll show you how to build balanced meals and downsize liquid calories. Try 80Bites today and ditch dieting for good!
App Features:
• Tap screen in rhythm with bites taken
• Sound indicates each bite (can be turned off)
• Sounds changes as you reach bite limit for each meal and snack
• Offers “coaching” to pace eating and encourage consciousness
• Graph displaying daily and weekly bite consumption
• View percentages over and under 80 bites to track progress
• Fun & intuitive design
• Calming & meditative

Customer Reviews
Good concept but needs work
I would like the ability to type the number of bites without clicking the bite button 25 times. Also being able to edit previous entries would be nice too.
80 Bites
This app really makes it easy to get control of your eating habits it is surprising to find out that we don't need to eat much to feel satisfied. In the month that I started the closest I have gotten to 80 is 73 bites one time. I usually average 50 to 60 bites and do not feel deprived. Super easy and effective!!!
Touch counting for the mouth!
The first step in eating less to lose weight is finding out how much you eat to begin with. Once that happens, then you can trim down (both plate & weight)! Knowing what a snack or meal should be in terms of size (translated into actual bites) really helps. I think touch counting is great!
