INSTRUCTIONS

Beautiful, Innovative App
WeatherHD is the best weather app for the Mac - I know, I've tried the others. It has a beautiful user interface, very sleek and modern and incredibly user friendly and customizable - it's also Lion-enhanced. It offers more detailed weather information, such as dew point, precipitation chances, and wind speed and direction. What sets this app apart from the competition however, is the video animation of the weather, detailed information on the phases of the moon and the interface itself.
This update brings changes to the menubar icon that I've been hoping for for some time. Instead of seeing a cloud, you see the current temp. If you bring down the menu and hover over a location, you now get detailed weather info without needing to open the app. Very well implemented, although I would still like to be able to see a seven day forecast from the menu bar like with Swackett X.
The hourly forecast provides great information, and is accurate in this released, on par with the Weather Channel. However, I still have issue with the maps. The maps are on the small side (in windowed mode), and they offer less than an hour of animation for radar and none for clouds.
In conclusion this is the best weather app on the Mac - you won't find anything else like it. The animations are gorgeous, it's like looking out the window, especially with snow and thunderstorms. If you're looking for a good weather app thats suitable for daily use - download this app, it's worth every penny!
This is Real Cool
I just bought this app and I've been impressed. I like how you can find quick weather updates in the menu bar, which seems very useful. I still have yet to check all of the features, but I've read on other reviews that the weather updates are every three hours, which is a downer for me. Also, I was hoping that the app would display as a background. I was under the impression that screen shots you see on the app store was a background. That is actually why I bought the thing. I want to be able to work on my stuff without having this window open. It would make for a real cool background or even a screen saver. I think an update like that will also look more professional.
Overall, I am thoroughly impressed, despite the minor let downs. It definitely pays for itself in the long run. I can't wait for more updates!
