REVIEWS
"When it came time to select the best Mac apps of the year, we started with the list of the roughly 250 Mac programs we reviewed over the past 12 months. After much discussion, we whittled that list down to just 13 that we deemed worthy of our Editors' Choice Award" Macworld Editor's Choice Award
"Braid's artistic design is as imaginative as its puzzles. The whimsical world looks like a painting come to life." IGN
"One of the most interesting, satisfying, beautiful game experiences I've ever had." Destructoid
"Beyond Braid's enchanting hand-painted visual style, beyond its often haunting score, and beyond its musings on love and personal growth... Braid is one of the most progressive platform/puzzle games we've played in years." IGN Australia

My favorite game of ALL TIME!
Well I must admit this is Mac App Store purchase is my third Braid purchase (if you don't count the ones I bought as a gift family/friends). I love this game so much, I keep buying it for almost every platform I own. First one was my PC, then I got the PS3 version and now I've been wanting to play and finish it for the third time on my Mac.
This game is not a child's play where you simply jump and stomp on little creatures. In fact that is basically what you do: just walk forward as you would in a side-scroller and jump on stuff. But there is so much more to this game, where you actually manipulate the flow of time to progress through the levels.
The utilization of time manipulation could not be put in use any better! As you progress through the levels, you get different uses for the dimension of time.
I repeat, this game is not a kiddie game, this game WILL make you think like you never thought whlie playing Puzzle games.
It looks lie a 2-D simple side scroller, but with the manipulation of time I could easily say it IS a 3-D side scroller, where the 3rd dimension is not depth, but time itself. Because Time has the most prominent factor in this game (even more than vertical or horizontal dimensions)
I send my admirations to the developer, I'm glad that I have found this on Mac app store.
Seriously I was buying this on Steam (which I installed on my Mac exclusively to buy this game, but it's a great coincidence that I saw this earlier).
For $4.99 it is a MUST BUY for puzzle lovers. (It sells for much more on Steam, but it's both PC&Mac over there)
I'm very excited that I'll be playing Braid one more time!
Also I realized the moment I started playing it again that I forgot to mention two very important aspects that made me fall in love with this game.
1) Music: It has such a calming, beautiful soundtrack that takes you away to another world. I also love how the music and sounds get manipulated along with the game play when you warp time.
2) The story!: Oh man! The graphics, the controls, the gameplay, the innovative time puzzles, they are all good, but what made me compelled to Braid was the story itself! This is a masterpiece on its own had it been not a game, had it not have any of these properties that I told you above. I was so incredibly moved by the ending of the game, not because of its gameplay but because of its plot. All these little texts are there for reason and it is a huge part of the whole game. You could surely skip reading the texts along, but when/if you do, it all adds up to the purpose of the character, what he's doing there etc.
Had this been a short story or a book instead of a game, I still would love it! Mind you, the story is very ambiguous and it's feels like watching an art movie with an amazin plot twist at the end, but you still have to put much thinking into the story to figure out what it really is. It is deep!
The game left me with inexplicable emotions when I first finished it. So excited I cannot even stop writing this review.
Give this underrated gem of a game/art piece a definite try!
I will say
