In addition, to take advantage of having the latest issue automatically downloaded on to your device, go into your Settings on your iPad, select “Store” and turn on the automatic download switch for the GQ app.

if only...
I find it quite embarrasing that GQ/Conde Nast did not utilize the time or effort to make this app available for the iPhone 4 iOS 5 update like many other magazines.
No background downloads?!
I love the experience of reading GQ on my iPad, but since each issue is about 500mb, can we please figure out a way to download in the background? In order to get an issue to download, I have to turn off auto-lock--if the iPad goes to sleep the download is stopped--and keep the app open until its done. It's bulky and slow, and there has to be a better way.
Works fine but
Wish I knew ahead of time that for the same $20 I could have gotten a print and digital subscription from the magazine's website.
