Meh
Few know about the original app on the actual Kayak site. If you go there and do slash "explore" on the url you will find a much more useful tool. This one seems appy without any actual usefulness. The original lets you be way more precise in searches, has a clean design and doesn't feel like it was crapped out for the app store like this one does.
Great Start, Could be Improved
A few recommendations for making this better:
- more user preferences for filtering results
- travel domestically vs internationally
- specify continent, region, country
- hotel / hostel / b&b preferences
Other than that, the pics are great. The app works very fluidly and quickly loads options. Great start!
Needs Work
This app is strangely limited. There is lots of potential here, but it seems like Kayak released it too soon. It doesn't allow you to chose dates or class of travel, or even budget. Once those are added it will be informative and fun to use. Some other suggestions would be nearby attractions and restaurants.
