Awesome app
I have used the Inkling app for a few semesters already, and it's pretty awesome. They don't have everything I need, but I have used a biology textbook and an anatomy book, and it was a lot better than the other digital textbooks I was using. The highlighting was easier, it was easier to search and find stuff, and I was also really impressed with their support. (I had an issue, but they fixed it immediately for me.)
To the other reviewer I just saw, you have to buy books from their website on inkling.com, but it worked fine for me, same as Kindle. Not sure what your problem is with that part.

Update: even though you can't get books in the app anymore, it's easy to get them through their website.
I've used Inkling before and thought it was so much better to study with, plus I could just buy the chapters I needed. These textbooks feel like the future! The new version, though, makes sharing and finding notes sooooooo much easier. I love that I can use my friend's notes in my book. Can't wait to use this more!
New way to read textbooks
All the features are well done and work together seamlessly. Even at the basic level, reading my textbooks as continuously scrolling text feels new, but instantly natural. No page turns to interrupt my flow of reading! This app is going to help me stay focused on my material.
