Customer Reviews
Glad I decided to buy iThoughts app
After researching other idea mapping apps, I decided to purchase iThoughts and support it with TouchDraw. iThoughts has a clean and easy userface, with the ability to upload your own icons/images into it. TouchDraw allows me to make those icons as needed. And for the diagrams and flowcharts which iThoughts isn't designed for, TouchDraw covers those too. But they're much easier to make after spending time clarifying my ideas and thoughts via iThoughts, first.
My current process is take notes and brainstorm via iThoughts, use TouchDraw for diagrams and icons, then put those back into iThoughts for a clean looking mindmap.
It's nice to finally have a place to keep all my notes, without fear of losing them in the shuffle. When my attention moves on to another project, I'm not stressing, because I know I can always go back to the previous project, and not have to re-search nor re-do any of my previous work.
THIS ability is what I bought an iPad for.
Now, if only iThoughts could handle other diagramming methods, or, at the least, show on their website ways of using mindmaps to fill similar purposes. So that I wouldn't be limited to super simple diagrams images transferred into such a small image size. I'd also love to have more shape options, or at the least a diamond shape. And some kind of calendar notification setup for tasks. But this is more of a personal wishlist rather than a fault with the program.
In Final, if you are into, or want to get into, mindmapping, give iThoughts some serious consideration. It's easy, intuitive, and easily made to look good. Topped off with the ability to export its maps into many other programs.
App Guru Review: 8/10
I am a heavy user of mind maps and iThoughtsHD is one of the best ones that the Apple Store has to date.
The reason i only gave the app 4/5 is because the Task Management of the App is good but not great and the icons are more fun then business related. Once the developers fix that then this app is worth the 5/5 starts.
Top Drawer
That this app does not appear in every single "Best of" app review points to gross reviewer incompetence. As a MindManager user/trainer for over ten years, I vouch for iThoughts as a splendid tool that is well-tended by its development team. The recent addition of auto-cloud syncing across devices and platforms makes it a no-brainier. Did I mention that I kind of like this app?
