For those having Facebook connect/authentication issues... You need to log into Facebook via safari. Facebook for iPad is causing the stalling.
The Facebook app for iPad never seems to complete the log in process. It's Facebook, not MVO.

Unable to send gifts for 2 days. Get totally white screen after selecting bananas to send to all FaceBook friends.

I was also one of the beta testers. All I can say is yea you need a Facebook account but what game anymore doesn't? My only issue is like some of the others with having to log into Facebook every time I leave the game.
Steven, Kirk Jr, Nick and the other Devs, keep up the good work and can't wait for more!!!!!
Like this game!
I really like this game on iPad. I have not had any locking up issues like others have talked about. I'm having a hard time fishing. That's my only complaint. They make it extremely hard to catch a fish.
