What's New in Version 1.1
This release makes Maui Revealed feature compatible with Kauai Revealed and the Big Island Revealed. It includes "Favorites" which lets you save your favorite places so they are easily accessible from the Favorites button on the map screen, updated content pages and bug fixes.

Much Aloha in this app!
Gettin' around Maui has never been this good! This app makes it easy to locate pretty much anything you're looking for, plus discover new cool stuff along the way! When you need to get to a place, one tap takes you to Google Maps for step-by-step directions from your location to your destination You can mark your favorites easily so you always have a list of great stuff to explore handy. A really nice feedback feature is included so you can update the author and publisher about your discoveries.
Spot On!
Having been a fan of these books since about 2000, I was eager to see how the app worked while on-island. I had installed it a few months back and toyed with it just enough to get familiar. Then I waited for vacation!
I love the fact that you do not need a live Internet connection to use it. Just plop your finger approximately where you are on-island and you can see all the spots of interest around you. Of course, to map from your location to the destination, you will need to be online. But if you are familiar with the main roads, that is not needed.
We spent 8 nights with this app leading a lot of the time. Honestly, though, I believe it gives almost too much info. It makes one realize that even 8 nights is not enough.
The latest update gave my wife's iPad a 2x option for viewing. I just kept using my iPod Touch (it travels easier).
The app is so much easier and much more current than the book. However, you do not get all the island history and anecdotes (which I find extremely informative) in this app that you find in the book. Overall though, if I could give it 6 stars, I would.
The only improvement I could suggest is that they add a travel direction option somehow so that the places around you are listed according to your current travel direction. As it is now, your results are in a circumference from current location, so some things could be behind you as you scan down the list.
I can't wait to see what the other island apps look like!
Great app for Maui
Used on our latest Maui trip, directions were great. We were able to use our phones and by pass expensive wifi or waste time trying to find free wifi. Have books for all islands but app is easy to use and well organized to find what you are looking for.
