Customer Reviews
Finally up to 5 stars.
I have been using this app for quite a while and have been sticking with the Lite version despite paying for the full version. This update, 4.2 finally has enough features to make me delete the Lite version and use this full time. Very nice options and fully customizable. Developer support is fantastic! He listens to what you have to say and may add your suggestions. He replies quickly and professionally. Great job on this update.
Great weather application!
With the end of WeatherDock, this is a great replacement! I didn't realize how often I looked at my menu bar for the current temperature. This works great.
Getting close but still no Meteorologist
For those of us who have been enjoying Meteo for years, this is a good close competitor, and I support small developers, although I'm unsure how it compares to the idea of opensource social coding.
This app comes somewhat close, but for all practicality, if all you want is weather and forecast in your menubar, nothing compares to Meteorologist. And Meteo is totally free on sourceforge.
In comparison, this app unfortunately has a pretty heavy UI, and could be more compact if a few more options were in place. For instance, akin to Meteo, it would be nice if we could get todays forecast and the a list of days with weather icons, that only reveal future date summaries. The icons are also a bit too huge, although I appreciate the option to pick your set.
I'm glad I made my purchase. I like how this app uses location services and based on other reviews I'm hopeful the developer will take a look at Meteo and try to make this app as flexible and then a whole lot more.
