Issues, yes, but awesome
Okay, so it took a bunch of tinkering to get the sync working, but now that it's running, I love it. Way more powerful than Microsoft's OneNote for iPhone app (although you use both side by side). MobileNoter allows direct sync from iOS device to computer without internet, which is great for me when doing research in remote areas. Plus it can incorporate audio, which Microsoft's iPhone app cannot. I'd like to have easier indent/outdent in outlines, but I'll be using this app for sure.
useful to have
This program is still in active development. This is good, in that new features are being added, and bad, in that it does not feel finished and polished.
Sometimes buggy: I had some sync issues, as some others here have mentioned. However, their tech support was able to help me fix it with minimal trouble.
I've found it very handy to have access to my OneNote notebooks on the iPhone. The editing feature isn't something I want to use every day but it is nice to have that for the occasional small edit. Viewing the pages works very nicely. Tables, checkboxes, pictures, text, all are rendered just as they are on your computer.
I particularly appreciate that MobileNoter allows you to sync WITHOUT going through the "cloud". They do charge for syncing. If you're not sure whether you want to pay for syncing, try the free trial to see whether you like it or not.
Used to be good
Worked great at one time then a massive update broke it. Eventually it worked again but not as well as it used to. Support has been poor, slow and at times non-existent.
