This app ROCKS!!! It helped us name our first born.
This app rocks! My wife and I used it to help select our baby's name for our first born. I've used other baby name apps, but Most Baby Names had the most to offer. Along with sweet graphics, it has cute sound effects too. The quacking rubber duck cracks me up.
Most Baby Names has lots of cool features that I found extremely useful. First you can simply choose boy or girl then enter in the name. The app then displays the origin of the name, meaning and related names. How cool is that, related names? So if I wanted a funky spelling it would show me alternatives. COOL! I also like that I could narrow down the list by choosing an origin like Italian, Polish or Irish. Another great feature is the ability to create a favorites list of names. I quickly forget names, so it’s nice this feature was in app. My wife and I had a lot of fun with this feature; we'd have the app email each other our updated lists daily. The search lists feature was a ton of fun too. We had a blast with this when we'd be out to dinner looking at celebrity baby names list. Some of the other lists include spiritual names, meaning beautiful, hip yet classic, college football stadiums, alternatives to common names, meaning strong, most popular by year, Irish and the lists go on. For those folks that are having a hard time thinking of the kind of name they want, you can try the “Surprise me” button to get a surprise (random) list of names.
I'd honesty have to say this is the best baby names iPhone app in the iTunes store to date hands down. I've turned a bunch of my friends onto this app and they and love it too. Thanks again for helping name my baby!
Disappointing
With this many names I would think my top 10 favorite not-too-unual names would be on the list, or assumed I could add any of my favorites that aren't but no. How disappointing! And such an easy feature to include. I also would stress this app is for 'searching' for a name but not 'browsing' for a name. Could use some product feature design to include these and then the reviews would be much higher. Would also be nice to have variations of a name to be added to favorites list. Theo instead of Theodore for instance.
