Taximeter app with maximum possible accuracy. Functionally, the richest taximeter app available. Do like thousands of other users and stop being overcharged by bringing your own taximeter! Available for 170 cities worldwide, this app calculates the fare just like a real taximeter in a real taxi/cab. It allows you to check on your taxi trip if the correct tariff is applied or if the taximeter has been tampered with in any way. Simply press the "GO!" button to start a new trip, and if your current location is supported, the taximeter will start to run and you can compare it to the cab's meter.

- App has all tariff details to calculate a cab’s fare with highest accuracy (flagfall, price per km/mile and/or time, slow traffic handling, thresholds, waiting time, time validity ...)
- App updates taximeter fare as the cab moves, is stopped in traffic or is waiting upon passenger’s request. This allows immediate detection of a possible taximeter manipulation.
- Taxi passenger can easily verify if driver has set the taximeter correctly to avoid problems, like night tariff applied during the day.

- In cities with creative taxi drivers, like "Sorry, taximeter broken…", you can propose to the driver to use myTaxiControl instead.
- When you type in your destination, App will calculate the shortest route, display it on a map (in green color) and give you a quote. Internet connection is needed for this service.
- The route actually taken by the driver is displayed on the same map (in black color). You can easily detect if you are "taken for a ride".
- You can calculate the estimated fare before boarding a taxi, putting you in an excellent negotiation position for a fixed price. You can do this for any trip in the world within the covered cities. Example: you will be flying to Paris the next day. You can enter your trip details (Airport to Champs Elysées) or drag pins on the map, and mTC will tell you how much you can expect to pay.
- The taximeter functionality does not need an Internet connection if you load the database in advance.
- You get useful behavior recommendations, like tipping practice or do‘s and don’ts.
- In almost all cities, App will tell you where you can complain should there be a problem with your taxi trip.
- It offers plenty of useful information about extras for luggage, animals, additional persons, tolls…
- The major taxi companies in each city are listed with their phone number and website (if it exists) and of course you can call a taxi or click on the link within the App.
- You need to know where you are located? Simply tap on “Where am I?” and you will get the full address. (Internet needed).
- According to your settings, mTC can generate a screenshot and an XML file after your trip that you can download from iTunes.
- App can send a receipt of your trip to your email account.

- The order in which taxi companies are listed is random. Contact us if you wish to be listed on first position.
- You can have your company slogan displayed next to your phone number, like "We are the best!", "myTaxiControl preferred partner",... Please contact us if you are interested.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. To avoid problems, mTC suspends processing when the device is in background mode and the trip is running for more than 2 hours.
What's New in Version 1.9a
When subscription has expired, app can still be used now. The taximeter amount will only display the least significant digit then. This is a functional alignment with the Android version.
The fare calculation starts when the first valid GPS signal has been received. Previously, calculation started when 'GO!' was hit, leading to an amount slightly too high.
When no fare quote could be calculated, app shows now the reason why.
Fixing an annoying bug: When 'Where am I?' was requested, the corresponding callout could not be removed by the user.
Enhancement: dragging pin/flag was not possible during a running trip.
