The Tutor Assistant app is the ideal tool for classroom assistants, enabling them to help teachers with the monitoring of student progress around the IT suite.

For use in your existing NetSupport-managed classroom environment, (NetSupport School v11 and above desktop Tutor application required) the NetSupport Tutor Assistant delivers greater mobility for teachers around the IT suite and is also the ideal tool to allow teaching assistants to help with monitoring student progress.

iPad, iPhone and iPod compatible, when paired with your NetSupport desktop Tutor console, the Tutor Assistant helps you retain key control and monitoring of all student workstations.

Monitor Students
Crystal clear thumbnails of each student machine will be displayed, giving you an instant view of the classroom.

Group Collaboration
Interact and engage with any pre-defined student group.

Maintain Student Focus
Lock the student's mouse and keyboard when instructing and blank screens to gain attention.

Application Monitoring and Control
Monitor application use across the classroom. Use ‘approved’ and ‘restricted’ lists, as defined at your main NetSupport Tutor console, to control application use.

Internet Monitoring and Control
Block the internet to retain student focus when instructing or monitor internet use. Use ‘approved’ and ‘restricted’ lists, as defined at your main NetSupport Tutor console, to control access to websites.

Send a pre-set message or instruction to students.

Logout all Students
Remotely logoff all student machines.

Print Management
Reduce costs by managing printer use.

Disappointing - especially lack of multitask

Pros:

Nice to have Netsupport on iPad. Don't have to be at a computer to view clients.

More than one tutor/teacher can view clients if they have iPads. We have one PC and 2 iPads for 3 teachers.

No bugs as of yet

Cons:

Disconnects immediately upon switching apps or being locked. I feel like I am in the Stone Age here. I can't multitask or let my iPad lock after some non-use. The whole point is to be able to occasionally monitor students. You want to be able to do other things on the iPad but you can't unless you're content with disconnecting and reconnecting every time.
There is NO WAY the developer was content with this. He or she was just too LAZY OR RUSHED to implement it.

No "control" or "share" mode, just "view" mode.

Easy to inadvertently lock all computers because lock button is in top corner. Cant choose to lock just one computer, only all at once.

Lacks just about every feature on netsupport. Can't listen to audio, can't chat, can't launch apps or help students in anyway.
