Class of 2015

As a first year medical student, this app is fantastic! I bought the print version of the Atlas when I started school (which was STRONGLY suggested) and this app has every plate that the print atlas has, plus a few extra plates. The app is more expensive, but its functionality easily makes it worth it. I love the fact that I can highlight or remove individual tags depending on if they are relevant to what I am currently studying. The quiz function has been very helpful for studying as well. Netter's has truly been invaluable for me this year. I have recommended this app to classmates as well as a few of my professors, who have told me it is very useful in their practices both for reference and patient education.

A few tweeks needed but good - 1st Year Med Student Review

I'm sure most medical students, like me, already bought the book and are looking at this app as a complement to it - a customizable and interactive atlas that can quiz you.

First off, this app is a very polished and finished product and it has been reliable so far. The best thing about it, which sets it apart from the book, it that you can customize your atlas. Since different schools will emphasis or teach anatomy at different levels of detail, it is nice to be able to selectively remove certain labels and pins, making the atlas a lot less cluttered so you can focus on what you need to know. This is perhaps the best reason to purchase the app.

However, the one annoying thing is that you cannot selectively quiz yourself so are still being quizzed on the labels and pins you have deselected. Since this apps strength, and selling point, is customizability, the option to selectively quiz yourself on the structures you want is a feature sorely missed.

Another issue with the quiz feature is difficultly of seeing which structure you missed - in a plate with 60 odd pins, it is annoyingly difficult to see which pins lightly up red (signifying the missed structure).

One last feature that would make the app exceptionally more useful would be a Multiple Choice Question test of identify the structure.

If those 3 aspects we added in the next update, I can see many medical schools recommending this app to their students and the app will full justifyits heavy price tag

Worth every penny

This app is very useful for anatomy and anatomy labs. There are hundreds of beautiful plates, and the search feature is very helpful in case you're having trouble finding a structure. I wish that it was able to quiz you on only your highlighted structures. I don't need to know every structure on every plate, so just being quizzed on the ones I need would have been helpful. That's the only reason for my four-star rating, instead of a five-star one!
