Description
Editors' Choice: "Bottom Line: Affordably-priced and feature-rich, Note Taker HD is the iPad app for professionals in need of note-taking software." -PCMag.com, June 2011
Note Taker HD is a powerful app for writing and organizing handwritten notes, diagrams, etc., on the iPad. It can shrink your writing so you can easily fit a lot of text on a page. You can read the reduced-size "ink" as if you had written those letters with a very fine pen. It gives you solid functionality and control to produce the pages you need.
Documents are flexibly organized by tags, date/time last modified, favorites, and more, with a scrolling list of thumbnail images of part of each page to help you find them later. You can email one or more pages as a single PDF file, "Open In" other apps, or, if your iPad supports it, print.
Note Taker HD lets you create pages by writing on the screen with your finger or an iPad-compatible stylus. You can either write directly on the page for large drawings, or have the "ink" you write shrunk down. You can write in large letters on the screen rather than trying to make tiny motions like a pencil. You just keep writing and Note Taker HD automatically adds new writing next to the old. To quickly correct mistakes, it has multi-level undo and redo buttons as well as an eraser -- just drag your finger over the page to erase the "ink" under it.
You can zoom in and out on a page using the pinch gesture while viewing or editing. The Zoomed Editing window lets you see both a zoomed-out overview and a zoomed-in close-up writing area at the same time.
You can use "Open In" in other apps or iTunes to send PDF files to Note Taker HD for annotation.

Great note taking app
I have been using Note Taker HD for almost a year now. It is a great app and it keeps getting better. I have tried other note taking apps (I bought maybe 5 or 6) and some have interesting features, but I always come back to Note Taker HD because I find it easiest to use and I like the way the writing works. I am using the app almost daily and the number of my documents and pages keeps growing. I am basically using it for everything that I would otherwise write down on paper. I like to have less paper lying around and like to be able to carry all my notes with me, all the time. I am writing down personal stuff and business notes for meetings and projects. Notes that I want to keep and possibly refer to later.
Sometimes I am sending my notes as PDF to colleages. That works well. Yesterday I solved a math problem on a page (with squares) and sent it off to a friend. I find it much easier to scribble down my thougths than to type them in, especially with the on screen keyboard.
The last update added subfolders. I have started reorganizing my notes using them. I keep discovering new ways for using the app to make the most of it. For a while I used a single document for keeping notes for a recurring meeting, adding more and more pages. Now I have a subfolder just for that meeting and I am creating a new document every time. That makes it easier to find a specific meeting. At the end of a year or maybe after a month I might combine all the notes for that time period into a single document, but I am not sure yet.
For quick notes (like a grocery list) with a short lifespan I am using Note Taker (without HD) on my old iPod (2nd gen). That works great too, especially on the go, when the iPad would be too cumbersome.
A Must Have - the more I use it, the more I love it!
Note Taker HD earned a place on my app bar. It is my go to app for documenting my projects.
I use Note Taker HD extensively on the iPad 2. Using many methods over the past 40 years, for technical writing, Note Taker HD is far and away the best method for documenting product information. From handwritten notes to final document I find it simple, intuitive and powerful.
The best money you will ever spend. Like Pages and Numbers, Note Taker HD fulfills the IPad's promise. AirPrint is quick and accurate.
Watch the video's, take time to learn and understand the interface.
Thank you for a great tool.

Best note taking app!
I've tried them all and this is the best one by far. Rock solid stability, fastest rendering from page to page, awesome PDF integration, great pens. As a student tool, it has no equal. It's a definite buy recommendation!
