Numberlys presents a fanciful depiction of the origins of the alphabet and is the newest interactive epic from Moonbot Studios, the creators of The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore. Numberlys is a story App celebration of the early fantasy epics King Kong, Metropolis and Flash Gordon with a dollop of the Marx Brothers, a splash of the Fleischer Studios technicolor Superman and a little bit of the 1939 New York World’s Fair.

Numberlys - Loved it!
I downloaded the Numberlys initially because of the graphics, interactive features, and story line. My 2 year old granddaughter was immediately mesmerized. The animated voice may annoy others, but I find it charming and different. The features that allow interacting may be too difficult for toddlers, but you can easily skip to the next letter/page without interaction. The settings allow you to skip to a certain letter in the story, if you choose. We enjoy it tremendously. A lovely story. Great production company.

Numberlys is a great story. Our two year old loves it, it is her favorite padbook, as she calls them. She has learned a lot of manual dexterity figuring out how to work several of the interactions. There are a few she can't quite do herself yet, but she tries for a while, then will move to the next page. She navigates through the story on her own, but the text and the visuals are so wonderful I find myself watching over and over with her. She has begun to know what letter comes next in several of the pages, so it has also begun to teach her the orders of the letters. It is also great for use in school with good examples of tone and mood as well as alliteration and word choice.

While I did love the story of Morris Lessmore better, I still enjoyed this. The graphics and animation are just as amazing. My son is 18 months olds and he is mesmerized by both books. They are great for bed time, and even though he can't do everything by himself, he loves the interactive games.
