■ NOTE!
This app is NOT for editing the library of Apple's Photos. Apple's Photos makes some data files for metadata (e.g. metaSchema.db) in the Photos.photoslibrary > database while importing image files. Apple's Photos shows metadata written in the metaSchema.db, not show metadata embedded in the imported image files. Photo Meta Edit does edit embedded metadata in the image files, so Apple's Photos does not show the changes. If you want Photos to show the changes, re-import image files to remake the metaSchema.db of Photos. It would be better to edit before importing images for avoiding unexpected troubles in Photos. Photos never edit original imported image files. The data files in the Photos.photoslibrary should not be edited by 3rd party apps. It could make some troubles.

Please backup your data before using this app, just in case an unexpected error occurs.

Doesn’t group correct dates properly

It seems that whatever I do to adjust the date of a group of photos, the year comes out 9999. If I shift by months or years, even very small number, the year becomes 9999. Other than that….which is really a huge issue for what I am doing now. it seems like a good program.

Almost Perfect

Overall, great app! It allows you to customize a ton of details in bulk, save GPS locations, auto-fill fields, and it works with pre-1970 Unix dates. One negative, however, is that it doesn't open PNGs nor MOVs. You can still use macOS's Terminal for those, but it would be more convenient in this app.

Easy to add Description to IPTC Metadata

I bought this to add descriptions into the metadata for photos taken with my Samsung smartphone. I use Picasa to manage my pictures and it is unable to write to the file on the Samsung photos like it did with my digital camera. I want the descriptions/comments to be embedded in the picture for sharing and this app easily allowed me to do that.
