Note: Photogene can edit any RAW file that was imported using the camera connection kit. Even RAW files at very high resolutions. However, the edited photo is always saved back as JPEG at a maximum resolution of 2048x2048 (as a new copy, the original photo is preserved).

Exactly What I've Been Looking For
There are a lot of photo apps that let you crop, adjust and email photos. As a newspaper photographer, I'd been searching for an app that does all that, but one that also lets you add caption information to the image. I'd been keeping an eye on Photogene for iPad for a few weeks and just noticed that the most recent upgrade now adds Metadata/IPTC functionality. The developer also tossed in direct FTP uploading to the latest version so this app became a no-brainer for me. One suggestion I have to the developer would be to add more IPTC fields (mirroring Photoshop's or Photo Mechanic's) to make the Metadata fields comprehensive. I'm recommending this app to all of my iPad-owning photog pals!
Must have photo editor.
I would have to say that this app is a must have for your photo editing arsenal. Features like apple's photo app that allow easy manipulation of color and brightness effects. Only need a few tweaks to each photo to correct and facilitate a much better resulting image.
I love this very helpful app!
It does exactly what I want it to do. I can edit or enhance photos, quickly and easily. I bought the iPad version because I was so happy with the iPhone app. Both are excellent!
