Description
In 2009 the average annual electricity consumption for a household was 11,040 kWh. The annual electricity bill was about 1,200 $. PowerControl is an application that allows you to calculate, analyze and manage the electricity consumption in your home. This saves money and it also saves the environment.
You can choose from 70 different devices in 11 categories to simulate the electricity consumption in your home. All devices contain detailed default wattage and standby power information based on more than 2.000 underlying data. For instance, the average wattage of a 32'' LCD TV is 155 watts. It is possible to add and delete devices as well as to enter alternative wattage to analyze the changes of electricity consumption. This helps to understand and reduce electricity costs.
PowerControl provides comprehensive reports for annual, monthly and daily electricity consumption. It also shows electricity consumption by each device and room. Furthermore it reports annual, monthly as well as daily electricity costs. The final section compares current electricity consumption and costs to last year's data.

Crappy piece of work!
Basically, it doesn't work. I was unable to generate reports after entering some sample data. Nonintuitive and extremely limited data input data capabilities. Reports are gery limited. For example, you cant get a $ cost for anything except individual appliance. So if you had multiple a/cs, for example, you cant see your total cost for cooling. MAnyone prepared to go to the trouble of entering all the data would expect a much more robust app. How do I get my money back!?
