Predictable is an exciting text-to-speech application for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. Offering customisable AAC functions with the latest social media integration, Predictable sets a new benchmark. Using a word prediction engine and switch access, Predictable meets the needs of a wide range of people using AAC.
A wide range of people are using Predictable, including those with MND / ALS, Cerebral Palsy and people with communication difficulties after a stroke or head injury.

Predictable 2.0 is packed with new features and enhancements, making this a must have AAC app. Thank you to all our Predictable users for their suggestions and feedback. We have taken this feedback on in making this app more user friendly and richer in customisable options.
Optimising Screen Utilisation:

New Features
- Self-learning intelligent word prediction. The prediction engine will analyse your vocabulary usage to present you with the most likely next word, reducing potential cognitive overload and reducing the required number of keystrokes/switch hits.
- Emoticons allow you to add sounds to represent common emotions like laughing, crying, yawning, coughing and more. These one touch emoticons could be used on their own or with text to get attention or to enhance social communication.
- User Dictionary learns frequently used non-standard words including proper nouns. You can also adjust the pronunciation of these words to suit your needs/accent. Twitter function allows you to create the message in Predictable and directly tweet it using your existing Twitter account.
- Clear now comes with the choice of clearing just the last letter, the last word or the entire message
- Option of auditory feedback for all keys and buttons in Predictable, making it useful for those who need audio confirmation (visually impaired) or those with dyslexia
- Publish feature to show your messages for discrete conversations. This is especially suitable for those who want to communicate while in quieter environments or require privacy
- Force Delay to lock your screen from accepting further input for a designated period. This helps those who may have reduced fine motor or muscle control and may make unintentional input via less controlled movements or finger taps.
- Hand writing input can be used in lieu of a keystroke on the keyboard. It will also access the word prediction engine in the same way a keystroke would. Flip between keyboard and note pad as required.
- Full access to your iDevice contact list when emailing, including in scanning mode. Import your email contacts via iTunes for ready access, with the option of adding new contacts on the go.
- Improved editing of Categories/Phrase Bank. You can now directly add and edit phrases within the Categories, as well as adding them from your message window.
NOTE TO EXISTING USERS: Predictable 2.0 will not import your vocabulary from your current version. If you want your phrase bank to be available on the new Predictable 2.0, please ensure you create a backup on existing version and then export it. After installing the new Predictable, you can simply import the backup to start using your phrase bank as it was, while benefiting from all the new features.

Highly recommended AAC app
This app is an essential component of your AAC assessment process. Forward thinking developers created this app with built-in switch access to assist people with physical challenges. Perfect for an adult or student format for full communication. Word predict is so intuitive it can even be utilized by patients/students that posses some form of functional literacy skills (i.e. dyslexia, cognitive delays). What a huge and costly disappointment
Twitter integration is useless as it cannot be used in scan mode. Must have someone switch to Settings, change to direct mode, switch back to app, find msg in history then tweet.
After entering credentials I get:
"Whoa there! The request token for this page is invalid. It may have already been used, or expired because it is too old. Please go back to the site or application that sent you here and try again; it was probably just a mistake."
Emailing a msg just causes a crash.
No ability to copy msg to clipboard...
