Innovative "Visual" Audio Manipulation Software
- View the instruments or components of the music which imported from your iPod library (*) as color-coded clouds of energy and harmonic matter onscreen.
- You can lower the level, keep or move the panning position of the selected instrument on the screen. You can use R-Mix to easily create "minus-one" type play-along tracks. You can also isolate guitar sound, for example, and solo that phrases for study.
- "Motion Function" allows you to create unique filtering effects to tracks using the iPad’s tilt sensor.
*DRM applied tunes cannot be imported.
Note:
- Can't save the resulting sound as data.
- May not work adequately on some songs, depending on the source material.

Creative and cool
Roland has some great technology. Great to see them apply some of their wizdom to the iPad. I look forward to updates, because there are so many possibilities!!

Mmmmmm
I found that the app crashed if I loaded in small samples of a few seconds. But it worked when I put in long tracks. Reporting a problem seems impossible. On the iTunes site it pointed me to Roland - but it seems that Roland has no active support at all for this product. Poor show!
Otherwise, I didn't find it particularly useable, as most tracks I threw at it seemed fairly ill-defined in terms of stereo panorama.
I would hope that the full $249 R-Mix for PC and Mac, due out soon, will be an awful lot better, as you'd expect!
But not to provide active support for this product is lamentable. It's only $9.99, but I expected better.
SAVE MONEY-NOT GOOD FOR MONO
I spent the 10 bucks thinking this would be good to clean up some dialog tracks from tv shows and films. Sadly, this app is not for that. The dialog tracks are mono and when I load it, it appears as one thin horizontal line. Can't zoom in or spread it out to try and zero in on the noise and hum that I was hoping to remove. Not sure why they would limit the Harmonics Window. Will ask that question if I decide to purchase the stand alone/desktop version.
Wish there was a bypass button to quickly A/B the audio instead of moving the volume faders up and down
This company should've put out a better product or offer this for free
